APGA rejects INEC declared results, insists it won landslide on polling units

By Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, Awka

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) yesterday denounced the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , saying it was concocted results and not what happened at the polling units.

Senatorial candidate of APGA for Anambra central senatorial zone , Chief Victor Umeh flanked by the Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia federal constituency Dozie Nwankwo and Awka North and South Federal constituency, Chief Godson Ezenagu insisted the results were manufactured.

Umeh announced that APGA is heading for the Tribunal to challenge the election results declared by INEC , expressed optimism that they would get judgement as it happened in 2003 with APGA getting judgment at last in the Tribunal.

Umeh speaking for others said documentary evidences from the polling units showed APGA won at the first ballot in all polling units reeling out the results in Form EC81copies the party collected.

Briefing a world press conference at his Aguluzigbo country home said INEC declared a fraudulent result, adding that they were shocked at the results declared by INEC.

The APGA candidates wondered why those who lost elections at the polling units should be those announced as winners rather than those who won.

Umeh informed that himself based on polling unit results as well as Dozie Nwankwo , Godson Ezenagu and Ifeanyi Ibezi for Idemmili North /South federal constituency who was unavoidable absent , all won their elections based on field results as contained in EC81 signed by the various political parties.

He admitted that although the election started with early challenges it went fine until collation when the ruling party -PDP in connivance with INEC, used soldiers to intimidate and harass the agents before taking possession of the INEC results being collated at the different local government areas.

Umeh wondered the kind of results declared by INEC without ward and local government collation even with the absence of collation agents.

He informed that the rigging was in line with 2003 style which APGA challenged and won in the tribunal insisting that the PDP has kissed the dust as the documentary evidences are enough to invalidate what INEC announced for PDP with concocted results.
