A group, the All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA) Media Warriors’ Forum, has debunked an onlin report that the member representing Nnewi North/South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Chris Azubogu, is scheming to stop reelection of Prof Chukwuma Soludo in 2025.
The National Coordinator of the group, Chinedu Obigwe, while debunking the report in a statement made available to our correspondent in Awka the Anambra State capital at the weekend said the report was authored by somebody he called “pay-as-you- go writer.”
Recall that Azubogu is currently vying for Senatorial seat of the Anambra South District on the platform of APGA.
Describing the report as a kindergarten lie that could only fly in the figment of imagination and shallow mind of the author, who he accused was doing the bidding of a paymaster, adding “that has shown that Hon Chris Azubogu candidature of APGA is making them to be restless.”
Obigwe added, “Whether they like it or not, Azubogu will take over as the Senator representing the good people of Anambra South in 2023 at the red chambers.The reason is because of the fact that he understands parliamentary business more than the current occupier of the seat. The poor strategy of pitting him against Governor Soludo will not work.
“The moonlight tale claiming that Hon Chris Azubogu is planning to contest second term against Governor Soludo is a lie that is aimed at poisoning Governor Soludo’ mind, straining his relationship with Hon Chris Azubogu and making him to withdraw his support from Hon Chris Azubogu Senate ambition.
“Those behind the kindergarten lie has failed and they will remain failures. Soludo will lead Hon Chris Azubogu campaign.Most importantly, Anambra South is Governor Soludo’s Senatorial district and he will do everything humanly possible to win his Senatorial district for APGA as the leader of the party.”
