Project

A private jet carrying former governor of Anambra State and the minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige has moments ago landed at the newly built Anambra international cargo and passenger airport.

It will be the second private jet landing at the airport in just one day. About one hour after, a private jet carrying the governorship candidate of APC in the past election, Senator Andy Uba also touched down at the airport.

Obiano who commissioned the airport in November had said that he is optimistic that the project would cause a turn around in Anambra State, in terms of projects, while also stating that he envisages that the airport will be a very busy one.

It is however turning out that the airport would be even more busy than Obiano thought as two private airlines have already commenced operation in the airport, after having been certified for commercial operations, just weeks ago.

Ngige’s use of the airport is recorded at The first Nigerian presidential jet to ever land at the newly built and commissioned Anambra International Airport.

The presidential jet arrived at exactly 12:25pm.

On hand to receive him was the man whose ministry delivered the airport to ndi Anambra in fifteen months and the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor alongside other AADT officials.
