Aisha Buhari, Mrs Obiano, Others Bag Award for Championing Morality

Association for Universal Moral Education Nigeria, AUMEN will today honour wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano and former governor of Ebonyi State, Dr Sam Egwu.

The coordinator of the group, Rev Sis Therese Nwodo said the group which is championing morality in Nigeria and which is affiliated USA is made up of 35 member countries including Nigeria.
She said the idea of honouring the awardees is to encourage them in their various areas of championing the high standard of morality in Nigeria.
She said Aisha Buhari she said is one woman who has continued to champion morality in the country and also living as an example among young people. She also added that Mrs Obiano using her pet project, CAFÉ has carried out philanthropic works among indigent widows in the state.
Addressing newsmen in Awka ahead of the second annual conference of the association billed for Abuja from Nov. 1 to Nov. 4, Nwodo said the conference with the theme “Gardening the Mind as a Way Toward National Unity” would address some of the moral issues facing the society.
She said the conference would dwell largely on corruption, violence, sexual immorality and other forms of moral decadence.
