Anyaoku drags Osinbajo, other prominent persons to Anambra

Former Secretary -General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, has dragged the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and other prominent members of the society to Anambra State

It’s the 10th Annual Chief Emeka Anyaoku Lecture on Good Governance, with it’s theme “Leadership and Good Governance in Nigeria”, which holds today (Thursday)

The event would be held at the Prof Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center in Awka, with the former governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke as the Chairman

The State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, is sponsoring this year’s edition as part of the 30th-anniversary celebration designed to promote excellence and the right social values which Anyaoku personifies.

Other States like Lagos, Ogun, Delta, Edo had hosted the lecture in the past

As Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Anyaoku initiated measures that ensured the enthronement of democracy and peace in South Africa and many African nations.

His statesmanship and roles in Nigeria, Africa and the world had been quintessential and exemplary since his retirement.
