BUHARI IS BEST SAYS IKEDIFE

Former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo,a socio-cultural organisation of the Igbo,Dr Dozie Ikedife has given his nods to the presidential aspiration of General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
Ikedife who spoke in his Nnewi country home yesterday said Buhari had all it would take to give Nigeria a positive change and direction.
He said those who were raising issues about the retired general’s certificate were naive, stressing that Buhari while serving in the Nigerian military had attended courses that were equivalent to today’s master’s degree.
On Buhari’s age and health,Ikedife who is a University of Glasgow trained medical doctor said with his 56 years medical practice and experience,he would authoritively vouch that the APC presidential candidate had both mental and physical capacity to lead Nigeria.
He enjoined Ndigbo not to be deceived by the religious and ethnic propaganda being bandied by those he described as political neophytes , miasmas and turncoats.
He said ” it has been said that if Jonathan wins there will be violence, and if he loses there will be violence; what the Igbo should ask themselves before casting their vote on 28th March is: in the event of any crisis erupting in northern part of this country and such crisis erupting in Ijaw areas occasioned by the polls ,which one would affect Ndigbo more in terms of devastation on population and investment?
The octogenarian, however, posited that instead of having a civil war again in this country,it would be a better option to grant self determation to those who would not want to continue with the marriage called Nigeria.
Speaking on the poll shift , the former leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo said it was the proper thing to do at the material time as according to him the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was not prepared for the exercise.
