Meet Mark Okoye, Anambra’s Brightest Commisioner

Hon. Mark Okoye II , Ebubedike (2) Dunukofia, a graduate of finance from George Washington University and an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School and Euromoney, Dubai, has experience in policy formulations, governance, public sector finance, public budget analysis and corporate finance.

Mark jnr following the footsteps of his father, who at age 28 in 1979 after working as a State Commissioner was elected into the House of Representatives.

Then in February 1982 he was appointed Nigeria’s Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, making him one of the youngest Ministers in Shehu Shagari’s government.

Mark jnr a former Associate at Afrinvest West Africa was in 2012, at age 27 appointed the Senior Special Assistant SSA on Investment to Anambra State Government by former Governor Peter Obi.

Ebubedike 11, before being appointed as a Commissioner under Gov. Obiano, was a Pioneer Executive Director, Anambra State Investment Promotion & Protection Agency and was also the Special Adviser on Economic Planning and Budget.

He was appointed a State Commissioner on his birthday, June 15, 2016, at age 30 making him the Nigeria’s Youngest Commissioner and Youngest cabinet member in Governor Obiano’s administration.

At age of 30, Mark Okoye jnr emerged winner of The Future Awards Africa 2016, the biggest youth event in the Africa.

He is happily married to Philippa and blessed with two kids. Happy Birthday Ebube Okofia!
