The All Progressives Grand Alliance has vowed to compel the All Progressives Congress to prove the allegation of murder against the wife of the Anambra State governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obianoo, over the alleged killing of former monarch in the state, Alex Edozieuno.

The National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors , Chinedu Obigwe, stated this at a press conference in Awka, the Anambra State capital,on Wednesday.
As a consequence, he has urged the police and other security agencies to invite the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state for interrogation on the issue.

In a joint press conference on Sunday, the state Chairman of APC and the Director General of Andy Uba Campaign Organisation, Basil Ejidike, and Paul Chukwuma respectively, described the monarch’s death as “political killing”

They said, “We have been receiving death threats; threats to our families from highly placed individuals in APGA including the wife of the governor and a member of the House of Reps, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe.

“With this death, we felt we should address the press. We are calling on the law enforcement agencies – the police, the DSS to quickly move into action and conduct a proper investigation since the threats have now started translating to deaths.
Alex Edozieuno, (62) and his driver, one Chukwuemeka, were killed by suspected gunmen on Friday along Ezu Bridge, Otuocha.
He was among the 13 monarchs suspended last year for visiting the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in Abuja with oil mogul, Prince Arthur Eze.

At the Wednesday conference, APGA urged security agencies to beam their search light on Paul Chukwuma and Basil Ejidike for them to say what they know concerning the killing of the traditional ruler.

APGA said,”The trio of Andy Uba, Paul Chukwuma and Basil Ejidike need to be interrogated by security agents for them to say what they know about the gruesome murder of Alex Edozieuno.”
