The Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Eworo has urged Ndi Anambra and residents alike to sustain the tempo in providing the Police and the security community with timely and credible crime prevention information.

He said that such will be used to curb acts of crime and criminality in the state, enjoining them to remain vigilant and law-abiding.

DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, PPRO of Anambra State Police Command stated this in a press release to journalists.

He said the CP made this plea following recent feat accomplished by the Command, a feat which he claims arose from credible intelligence made possible by members of the public.

“It would be recalled that on 11/10/2021, Police operatives in Anambra bursted a criminal hideout at Afor Nwafia, Njikoka LGA and arrested one Daniel Nebolisa M aged 29yrs, recovered one double barrel locally fabricated pistol, one single barrel locally fabricated pistol, twenty-one live cartridge, five expended cartridges and one AK 47 ammunition all concealed in a bag.

“The suspect who is already helping the police with information to apprehend other gang members, confessed that he was awaiting other members of his gang at the time of his arrest by the police.

“Meanwhile, the CP reassures Ndị Anambra and residents alike of the Command’s avowed commitment to do everything within its powers to maintain public security and safety in the State,” Ikenga wrote.
