In demonstration of political solidarity, ten communities in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State have publicly endorsed Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for a second term in office.

The announcement was made during a rally at the local government area headquarters, Neni, attended by thousands of residents, local leaders, and stakeholders, showcasing the sustained support for the Governor’s vision and initiatives.

Governor Soludo, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to the people of Anaocha, emphasizing the strong work ethic that characterizes the Igbo culture. “Thanks to Anaocha,” he began, “we Igbos are known for our hard work and enterprise. Those who seek to pervert our values do not represent us; they do not define who we are as a community, particularly when we know that the majority of our people are doing great things.”

He reiterated his administration’s support for small-scale traders, stating, “I want to make it clear that petty traders and those with capital below 100,000 naira, are not required to pay any form of levy or tax. We are a party committed to uplifting the poor and ensuring that no one is left behind. This principle is exemplified in all our policies.”

The Governor also highlighted the ongoing infrastructure development in Anaocha, noting the extensive network of dual carriage roads that form part of the over a thousand kilometers of roads being constructed across the state. “We are only just beginning,” he assured his audience, revealing that further progress is on the horizon.
