Tony Nwoye wishes Muslims successful Ramadan Fast, calls for prayers for Nigeria

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Dr Tony Nwoye, has wished Muslims in the country successful Ramdam Fast.

Nwoye in a statement made available to our correspondent also called for prayers for the country, her leades and the generality of its people.

He noted that the Ramadan period is a time for spiritual upliftment, self-improvement, intense supplications and seeking God’s mercy and reward.

The Senator’s message reads: My dear friends, brothers and sisters in Islam, I congratulate you all on the commencement of this year’s 30-day Ramadan fast following the sighting of the moon, signaling the start of the Islamic Holy month which is depicted by self-denial, universal brotherhood, austerity and helping relatives and needy people.

“Indeed, the Islamic Holy month of Ramadan is a time for spiritual upliftment, self-improvement, intense supplications and seeking God’s mercy and reward.

“On this note, I join all Nigerians to use this opportunity to wish the Muslim ummah around the world and in Nigeria, particularly Anambra North Senatorial Zone, Ramadan Kareem.

“Let us use this moment to pray for our Leaders and dear Nation in these most trying times.

“I extend my warmest wishes for a blessed Ramadan and may Almighty God grant you the strength for a successful completion of this fasting period.Ramadan Kareem!”.
