The Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka is wearing a new look as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to receive its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
A visit to the square shows massive decorations, while members of the party from all parts of the state have also started arriving the state.
The Director General of Atiku/Okowa campaign organisation, Prof Obiora Okonkwo who spoke to journalists on Wednesday assured of massive mobilisation of members of the party to the event.
Meanwhile, Atiku who is billed to arrive the state any moment will move to the governor’s lodge, where he will hold a brief meeting with the state governor, who has been described as a long time political ally of his.
Atiku will also meet traditional rulers, town union leaders, market leaders in separate meeting, before proceeding to Ekwueme square for the rally.
