The Deputy Director General of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council for Anambra Central Senatorial zone, Chief Uzu Okagbue, has said that the All Progressives Congress has a fundamental interest in Anambra State.
This, Okagbue said during a brief interview, after he inaugurated the seven local government coordinators of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council for Anambra Central. The event which took place at Okagbue’s home in Umunnachi, Dunukofia LGA on Friday, was attended by APC local government chairmen in Anambra Central. APC support group, Ikemba Front, and the women groups were also in attendance.

In his opening remarks, Uzu Okagbue said that the Anambra State APC has a bright chance to take a shot at the Government House of Anambra State in November. “The Situation today is ideal for us to win this election if we have the right attitude,” Okagbue said. Speaking on why Sir Paul Chukwuma is the right candidate for the party, Uzu Okagbue said that Paul Chukwuma has at least three out of the five critical demands on anyone who desires to govern Anambra State. Commenting on the relevance of the gathering, Okagbue opined that the APC must approach this election with commitment and a mindset of victory.
In his address, Dr. Tony Onyima who is the Director of Research and Strategy of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council, thanked Uzu Okagbue, their host. According to Dr. Onyima, Anambra Central is crucial in this year’s governorship election. “This election is on November 8, and Central will decide who wins the election. Aspirants now are all from the three senatorial zones. So, Central will decide,” Dr. Onyima affirmed. He equally reiterated that the APC has the greatest chance of winning the 2025 governorship election.
The APC’s State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Valentine Oliobi, also restated the party’s bright chance in the upcoming governorship election. This was similarly the position of Chief Igwe, a party stakeholder, and Hon. Chinedu Ukachukwu, the National Coordinator of the Ikemba Front.
Those inaugurated as Local Government Coordinators for Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council are; Vincent Ezennia, for Dunukofia, Nduka Ojidembuba, for Njikoka, Adigom Chinonso for Anaocha, Maduka Nwakor for Idemili North, Ikechukwu Onukwube for Awka North, Chief Ogbukagu, for Idemili South. The Awka South coordinator was unavoidably absent.
With this, Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Campaign Council now has a full LGA structure across the three senatorial zones in Anambra State.
