Sir Paul Chukwuma, a leading aspirant for the Anambra State Governorship on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, has rejigged his campaign council and declared an operation to rescue Anambra State from mediocre leadership.
This move is part of his efforts to intensify plans for the upcoming governorship election, expected to take place in November.
Recently, Chukwuma questioned Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s management of the state’s security, citing rising insecurity and its impact on residents and investors.
He emphasized that the primary responsibility of any government is to protect life and property, yet Anambra State is becoming increasingly insecure.
This sentiment is shared by many, as evident from discussions in the state, where some residents mentioned that even Borno State is considered more secure than Anambra.
In a series of meetings with his Primary Election Campaign Council, Youth Coalition, and women’s groups, Chukwuma outlined his vision for the state and urged members to remain focused on the goal of rescuing Anambra from mediocre leadership.
The meetings were attended by key members of the campaign council, including Director General Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, Deputy Director General Central Uzu Okagbue, Deputy Director General South Chief Jude Osude, and Deputy Director General North Hon. Ralph Okeke. Other principal members in attendance included Campaign Council spokesman Mr. James Eze, Youth Coalition Director Hon. Ngobidi Divine, and Deputy Director of Protocol Barr Nonso Nwaebili.
Addressing the council, Sir Paul Chukwuma expressed gratitude to members for their progress and urged them to remain committed to the cause. Ifeanyi Ibezi, the Director General of the Campaign Council, thanked Chukwuma for his leadership and the council members for their commitment, expressing confidence in the campaign’s journey.
The campaign council is expected to take a new leap from January until the end of the primary election phase and subsequently until the general election in November.
Chukwuma also met with women and youth groups, thanking them and charging them to be at their best in the coming days, weeks, and months.
The groups vowed to remain committed to the cause until the goal is reached.
As a token of appreciation, Sir Paul Chukwuma gifted members of all groups who attended the meeting with Christmas and New Year packages.
This development is part of Chukwuma’s efforts to strengthen his campaign and ultimately win the governorship election.
His campaign has been gaining momentum, with the appointment of ward and local government area coordinators.
