The Solution Marshall, a coalition of transport unions in Anambra State, has thrown its weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection bid.
This endorsement comes on the heels of an inspection tour of ongoing and completed projects in the state.
Comrade Osita Obi, National Coordinator of the Solution Marshall, praised Governor Soludo’s remarkable achievements within his two years in office.
“Okpoko, one of the biggest slums in West Africa, has witnessed transformative change under Soludo’s leadership,” Obi noted.
The group inspected various projects, including the Ekwulobia Flyover, Ekwulobia General Hospital, rehabilitated Okpoko slum, and Okpoko General Hospital.
Obi highlighted the governor’s efforts to end the era of schools without teachers, employing 5,000 teachers in the first phase of recruitment.
The Solution Marshall also commended the governor’s healthcare initiatives, providing free antenatal care and childbirth services to pregnant women.
Additionally, the empowerment of 5,000 youths through the “One Youth, Two Skills” programme has eliminated crime and hard drug intake among youths in the state.
Comrade Emmanuel Oramalu, Secretary General of the Solution Marshall, appealed to the people to support Governor Soludo’s second-term ambition.
He said, “Soludo is working, and we must allow him to actualize his vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous state.”
The Senior Medical Officers of Okpoko and Ekwulobia General Hospitals, Dr. KC Nnadi and Dr. Madubuike Chinelo, praised Governor Soludo’s ingenuity in establishing hospitals for the less privileged.
They noted that the facilities, despite being underutilized, attend to an average of 120 patients monthly.
The Solution Marshall consist of keke drivers, shuttle bus drivers, and truck drivers registered under the State Ministry of Transport.
Their endorsement is a significant boost to Governor Soludo’s reelection campaign, recognizing his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of Anambra residents.
