In a heartwarming display of gratitude, Chinedu Oraekie, a 47-year-old native of Awba Ofemmili, has expressed his deepest appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for constructing the first asphalt road in his community.
Oraekie, a former Secretary General of Awba-Ofemili Community, praised the governor’s benevolence, saying, “I was born here, and the road conditions were terrible. I thank God today for the governor we have.”
Comrade Osita Obi, a Human Rights Crusader and Convener of the Recover Nigeria Project, commended Governor Soludo’s developmental strides, stating, “The governor is doing wonderfully well in the state, but the public has not been given the opportunity to learn about these developments.”
Obi led journalists on a tour of Soludo’s completed and ongoing projects, showcasing the transformative impact on the state.
The tour visited several project sites, including the Amansea-Awa-Ndukwuenu-Ufuma road, Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbeni-Awba-Ofemili road, and the Amansea-Ifite-Aroma overpass-Ekwueme-Government road. Other sites included the Government House Annex, Ekwueme Square complex renovation, and the Soludo Fun City complex.
Community leaders, including Mr. Ambrose Nweke, commended Governor Soludo for improving their communities through extensive road infrastructure.
Nweke stated, “We thank Soludo for this road, Amansea-Awba-Ofemili road, because a road represents life and light. Conditions were terrible before now.”
Obi urged residents to support Governor Soludo’s second term bid, saying, “Soludo should be given another four years to continue the extensive work across the state.
“We have heard about the governor’s good work, but today we have seen it firsthand.”
