APGA appoints Abubakar Adamu as Peter Umeadi’s presidential campaign DG

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has appointed Alhaji Abubakar Adamu as the Director General Presidential Campaign Council for it candidate in the 2023 general elections, Prof Peter Umeadi.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Oye and the National Organising Secretary of APGA, Mr. Ifeanyi Mbaeri, respectively.

According to the statement, the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo and his predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano would be leading a 1,579-man campaign team to seek the support of Nigerians in the 2023 presidential election for its candidate, Prof Peter Umeadi.

Umeadi, a professor of laws, is a retired Chief Judge of Anambra State. He hails from Anaocha Local Government Area of the state with the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

Other top party members included in the national campaign council were deputy governor of Anambra State, Gilbert Onyekachukwu, APGA National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Ikechukwu Oye, presidential candidate of APGA, Prof. Peter Umeadi and APGA Vice presidential candidate, Comrade Mohammed Abdullahi Koli.

Earlier in an interview , Oye said the party had taken its time to plan and select credible men and women that would help it galvanise support for their candidates in the 2023 general election.

Oye disclosed that APGA would launch a non-stop campaign beginning from January next year till the last day of electioneering campaign.
