A leisure park in Awka, the Anambra State capital, a brainchild of the State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, will gulp over N2.4bn .
The park, otherwise called Solution Fun City is part of the governor’s dream of
making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous smart megacity.
A statement signed by Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, said
Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the release of the money.
The statement read in part, ” In the march toward fulfilling the vision of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) of making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous smart megacity, the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the release of the sum of two billion, four hundred and thirty-one million, four hundred and twenty-four thousand, nine hundred and twenty-four naira, fifty-four kobo (N2,431,424,924.54) for the supply and installation of the Outdoor and Indoor Equipment at the *Solution Fun City (Awka Leisure Park),* Anambra State.
“The Contract for Lot 1 which entails the Supply and Installation of the Outdoor Amusement and Waterpark Equipment at the Solution Fun City, Awka was awarded to PARKVEGA WATERPARK LTD at the sum of one billion, nine hundred and eleven million, four hundred and twenty-four thousand, nine hundred and twenty-four naira, fifty-four kobo (N1,911,424,924,.54).
“The Contract for Lot 2 that entails the Supply and Installation of the Indoor Arcade Games and Bowling Equipment at the Solution Fun City, Awka was awarded to JCN & BROS COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES LTD at the sum of five hundred and twenty million only (N520,000,000:00).
“This is one project that will transform Anambra State from a departure lounge into a destination lounge.”
