The Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze has described the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand
Alliance(APGA),Dr.Victor Ike-Oye as a giant in the field of politics in Nigeria.
Felicitating Dr.Ike-Oye on his 67th birthday on behalf of the State Legislature,.Udeze noted that the former APGA National Chairman had contributed immensely to the growth of APGA in the country as well as promotion of internal democracy and unity among party faithful.
The Speaker enumerated some of the achievements of Dr Ike-Oye to include: building a National Secretariat of the party in Abuja as the first political party to record such a milestone in Nigeria, producing the first Professor in Igbo land to become a Governor, in the person of Prof.Chukwuma Soludo, having more APGA lawmakers at both the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly as well as massive increase in membership of the party across the country among others.
He expressed satisfaction with the manner the former APGA National Chairman piloted the affairs of the Party, adding that the peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections and tangible victory recorded by APGA at the Senate,House of Representatives and various Houses of Assembly across the country were true evidence of visible growth of the party.
Udeze while calling on Ndi Anambra and APGA faithful in the country to continue to give maximum support to APGA, prayed God to give the former APGA National Chairman,Dr.Ike-Oye strength, wisdom and longevity.
