IFEANYI UBAH GIVES OBIANO NEAR IMPOSSIBLE CONDITION TO SUPPORT HIS SECOND TERM BID

The chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has given condition for which he will work for the present Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano to emerge for a second term next year.

Ubah who spoke to journalists in an interactive session to mark his 45th birthday at his Nnewi home said he has before now vied for the governorship of the state, but may not do so next year when the governorship election holds.
The Oil magnate said he will rather support the incumbent governor to get a second term, but will only do so if the governor appoints him the Director General of his campaign.
“I am blessed in every ramification. If not for the love I have for Anambra, I should not have any reason to aspire to be Governor because there is nothing a Governor enjoys that I do not enjoy today.
“I had the best manifesto to change the fortunes of Anambra as at the time
I vied to be governor, but I had to let go because it must not be me.
“So far, the governor is doing well, and I will support him, but we must think beyond our selfish interests. We must reject a situation where one man finishes his tenure and takes his stooge and put him as governor.” Ubah said.
Ubah boosted that singlehandedly, he has developed his community, Umuanuka, Nnewi and provided electricity constantly for the past four years and built motorable roads, which has also caused business to boom in the area.
He said presently, the four kilometres stretch of roads which he connected to his personal electricity grid has caused over 600 new businesses to spring in the area, causing it to be the new hub of business in Nnewi.
Ubah said the governor needs people like him who will loom him in the face and tell him the truth at all times.
