As Anambra State marks 32 years of creation,the Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze has said that the state legislature will continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at total development of the state as well as the improvement of the living standard of the citizenry.
In his goodwill message to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Ndi Anambra on behalf of the state legislature on the 32nd anniversary of creation of the state, Udeze noted that though the state had recorded successes at different times in the past,the present Soludo administration has within one year and five months in office, recorded more meaningful achievements in all sectors of the state economy.
The Speaker who extolled the efforts of the founding fathers of the state towards the state’s creation, enjoined politicians to see the peace and progress of the state as a collective responsibility.
He expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship existing among the three arms of the government in the state,and called on the citizenry to join hands with the government in enthroning good governance in the state.
He called on affluent citizens to key into Governor Soludo’s development Initiatives by committing part of their wealth to the development of their various communities as well as security of lives and property of the people.
While praying God to continue to strengthen Governor Soludo in his development efforts in the state,the Speaker enjoined Ndi Anambra to uphold those virtues that would enable the state to continue to grow from strength to strength.
