~ Obi-Okoye maybe suspended

The crisis rocking the Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has deepened.
The conflict is ostensibly between the ‘governor’s ( Soludo) boys’ and the State Chairman of the party, Barr Ifeatu ObiOkoye .
It a source said , “Barr Obi-Okoye had taken the fight personal and might face a vote of no confidence leading to his sack or suspension any moment soon if he does not restrain himself immediately.
“The crisis which started with the purported cancellation of a zonal rally being organized by a group called ‘Solution Team’ has gradually blown out of proportion.
“Yesterday, at the birthday party of Chief Hon Nnanna Nzewi the state chairman who was at the event left angrily when the MC of the event introduced Hon Nchekwube Anthony Dunga as the Convener of APGA Apostles.
“The birthday party was held at Obalande Awka. Barr Obi-Okoye, The Speaker of the state assembly and other party leaders and govt top functionaries were at the event to Chief Hon Nnanna Nzewi who turned 45 yesterday. During the cutting of the cake, the MC invited the Speaker of the Anambra state House of Assembly and the state chairman of APGA to join Nzewi in cutting the cake. But trouble started when the MC invited Dunga to join them and introduced him as the Convener of APGA Apostles.
Continuing, the source said,”The state chairman didn’t hide his anger and disapproval of such introduction. He went back to his seat, picked his belongings and walked out on everyone at the party.
“Dunga on seeing the action of the state chairman against him, rushed to the WhatsApp forum of G-17, a forum of APGA leaders created by the state chairman and exited the group.
“The APGA Apostles was personally set up by the (illegal) National Chairman of APGA, Barr Ezeokenwa Jr Sly and named Dunga the National Convener. It is unclear why Barr Obi-Okoye is angry with the group.
“Is it a sign that he is fighting with his National Chairman that he didn’t want to recognize the group?
“It is more sad that the show of shame happened at the birthday event of Hon Nnanna Nzewi who is the Chief of Staff to the state chairman of APGA.
“The state chairman while storming out of the venue was heard shouting, “why would he be introduced as the National Convener of APGA Apostles?”
“As this crisis continues to degenerate, it is clear that Barr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye may face sack or suspension from the party. He is clearly up against the governor’s boys in one hand and loyalists of the (illegal) National Chairman on the other hand.
