The Senator Representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Dr Tony Nwoye, has handed over a brand new two room Self-Contain apartment to an Indigent Widow, Mrs Ngozi Nwankwo of Ndi-Agu Village, Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Handing over the apartment keys to the beneficiary, the distinguished Senator stated that the project was part of his commitment to helping humanity. Dr. Tony Nwoye revealed that the humanitarian gesture intended at assuaging the pains of the vulnerable and less privileged was borne out of his passion and care for the needy.
“This house formerly was formerly a makeshift house built many years ago. I was taken aback and stunned with the ramshackle nature of the house when it was brought to my attention during one of my spur-of-the-moment stopover and visit to the community, I saw the condition of the place. I ordered that the house be demolished and rebuilt tastefully into a two room self- contained apartment within three weeks. To the glory of God, it has been achieved and delivered to Mrs Ngozi Nwankwo and her family.
“Recently, I handed over such apartment to a senior indigent citizen from Umueri”.
“My commitment as a public office holder is to use my office to improve the quality of lives of my people and to attract more dividends of democracy by facilitating people oriented projects,” Dr. Tony Nwoye stated.
In his response, the beneficiary, Mrs Ngozi Nwankwo who danced round and round in jubilation said:
“My heart is full of Joy. I do not where to start to thank God. What is happening to my household today is that Dr Tony Nwoye came into my family and broke the yoke of not having a House. He built this House for me. He has broken that yoke.”
“The good Lord who touched his heart and sent him to build this house for me will continue to bless him and his family. He will never lack. The good Lord will continue to uplift him, give him good health and prosper him in all he does.”
