Senator Tony Nwoye has expressed deep shock and sadness over the passing of his dear friend and colleague, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, describing his death as a tragedy and a big loss.

In a statement, Senator Nwoye said he received the news of Senator Ubah’s death with a rude shock, praising him as a renowned businessman, legislator, and philanthropist who contributed immensely to humanity.

Senator Nwoye recalled that Senator Ubah founded Capital Oil and Gas Ltd in 2001 before venturing into politics, attracting numerous projects and democratic dividends for his people, and contributing significantly to national discourse and debate.

He described Senator Ubah as a rare gem, a philanthropist extraordinary who cared for the less privileged through his foundation, investing in their education, health, and pulling people out of poverty.

Senator Nwoye prayed for the repose of Senator Ubah’s soul, asking God to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest, and to give his family, Nnewi Community, and the entire Anambra State the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.

Nwoye said, “We have really lost a rare gem, really an Iroko has fallen. What a monumental loss and huge tragedy!”
