Soludo restricts movements on September 28,says LG poll unstoppable

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed that the local government election scheduled for September 28 is unstoppable.

He made this declaration during an interactive meeting with All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center in Awka.

Attendees included local government chairmen, party chairmen, state working committee members, and State Executive Council members.

As APGA’s National Leader, Governor Soludo commended the party hierarchy’s hard work and urged ndị Anambra to participate in the election, assuring that movement would be restricted on election day.

He praised the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) and State House of Assembly members for prioritizing ndị Anambra’s interests. Governor Soludo encouraged candidates to showcase their plans for the state’s development.

Emphasizing APGA’s unity, Governor Soludo recognized Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman, expressing confidence that the lawful resolution would be implemented soon.

Earlier, Anambra State APGA Chairman Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye attributed the party’s growth to Governor Soludo’s leadership and predicted APGA’s victory in the election.

Dignitaries present included Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Secretary to the State Government Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, and Chief of Staff to the Governor Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, among others.
