THE RAZOR Managing Editor Selected for Prestigious African Union Addis Ababa Conference

Renowned investigative journalist and Managing Editor of The RAZOR Newspaper, Mr. David Eleke, has been invited to attend a global conference for journalists in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, courtesy of the African Union.
This esteemed event, scheduled for November 6-7, 2024, marks the 10th commemoration of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists (IDEI).
Mr. Eleke, a seasoned journalist with over 15 years of experience, has earned a reputation as a serial award winner in investigative journalism.
His work has been featured in both national and international newspapers and journals, solidifying his position as a respected voice in the industry.
The African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, have previously convened annual conferences to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between the two organizations .
This year’s conference will provide a platform for Mr. Eleke to engage with international stakeholders, share his expertise, and contribute to the global discourse on press freedom and journalist safety.
Colleagues and peers have poured in congratulatory messages, including Mr. Chuks Ilozue, Chairman of Correspondents’ Chapel, who praised Mr. Eleke’s achievements.
Mr. David Eleke will join esteemed participants from around the globe, including the United States, Australia, Bangladesh, Romania, United Kingdom, Belgium, and Brazil, at the prestigious conference.
He is expected to depart Nigeria any time soon.
