The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, has directed its members not to attend any meeting convened by Prof. Bernard Odoh.

This comes after the Federal Ministry of Education reportedly nullified Odoh’s appointment as Vice Chancellor.

According to ASUU Chairman Kingsley Ubaoji, attending Odoh’s meetings would legitimize his illegitimate claims and undermine the institution’s authority.

ASUU considers Odoh’s actions subversive and advises members against participating in his activities.

The union emphasized that Odoh’s appointment contradicts a court order and has been declared null and void by the Federal Ministry of Education.

ASUU urges members to remain vigilant and disregard any invitations related to Odoh’s activities.

“We expect Prof. Odoh to respect legitimate authorities and avoid causing disorder in the university,” the statement read, adding, “Members who attend his meetings will face consequences. We appreciate your cooperation in upholding academic integrity and excellence.”

ASUU reaffirmed its commitment to protecting members’ interests and the institution’s integrity.
