APU Academy Director Hails Umeh on Federal College in Agulu

The Director of APU Vocational Academy, Agulu, Dr. Duezeh Emmanuel Jr., has commended Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, for sponsoring the bill for the establishment of Federal College of Skill Acquisition and Technology, Agulu.

In a statement, Dr. Emmanuel Jr. expressed his profound gratitude to Senator Umeh and the 10th Senate for the bill.

He described the development as a pivotal moment in the advancement of technical education and skill acquisition in Agulu, Anambra State, and Nigeria at large.

The establishment of the Federal College will complement the efforts of APU Vocational Academy in empowering youths with requisite skills for self-reliance and societal development, according to Dr. Emmanuel Jr.

He also pledged the academy’s support for the noble initiative and looked forward to collaborating with the Federal College.

Senator Umeh’s bill aims to provide training programmes in various technical and technological skills, including bricklaying, electrical installations, and carpentry.

The bill’s passage has been hailed as a significant step towards promoting technical education and skill acquisition in Nigeria.
