Two persons have been killed by suspected gunmen in Anambra state without any challenge
The incident happened 10.45am between Agulu and Nanka boundary in Anaocha local government area of the state
The reason for the killing is yet known ad the assailants ran away on motorcycle after the dastardly act
The situation has heightened tension in the two communities as residents are questioning the potency of governor Chukwuma Soludo’s two security outfits, Agunechemba and Operation UDP Ga Achi respectively
According to one of the residents who spoke with Our Reporter on the incident, but pleaded anonymity, alleged that the two security outfits were set up by Soludo for election purposes
When the Police spokesman in the state, Tochukwu Ikenga was called for confirmation, he did not pick his phone, but one of the Senior Police Officers confirmed it
According to him, ” our new commissioner of Police is a trained field Officer and he has already deployed our men to go after the hoodlums.
“For now, nobody knows how it happened, but the command would come out with a statement regarding the incident. Everything is under control now and the command is on the trail of the assailants ” the source said
The victims was on a red saloon car, while the second victim was killed while he was trying to escape the scene.
