The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State has rejected any planned political coalitions with other parties, advising its members and stakeholders to steer clear of such alliances.

In a communique issued after an enlarged meeting of the State Executive Committee on Wednesday, the party warned members against allying with multiple parties without consent from the state and national leadership.

The communique, signed by PDP Anambra State Chairman Chidi Chidebe, reaffirmed the party’s “unflinching” support for Senator Ben Ndi Obi, South East Zonal Leader Peter Mba, and the national leadership.

It stated, “We wish to categorically state that the National Working Committee of our great party is not engaged in any coalition discussions with any political party.”

The party cautioned that any officer associated with unauthorized coalition groups would be deemed to have exited the party, and their office would be declared vacant.

The communique read, “Any state, local government, or ward officer whose name is enlisted or associated with any unauthorized coalition group will be deemed to have exited the party.”

The PDP remains committed to party discipline, unity, and democratic values, urging members to remain vigilant and focused.

The communique added, “We urge members to remain vigilant, loyal, and focused as we collectively work towards a rejuvenated and victorious party.”
