Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation, has expressed his admiration and support for Chidimma, a young farmer from Anambra State, maker and producer of Garri Nteje.
Chidimma, a young graduate, ventured into farming after completing her studies and has since demonstrated remarkable dedication and expertise in the field.
In a Facebook post, Chidoka revealed that he met Chidimma during the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship (EPLF), where he served as faculty.
PL He was impressed by her boldness, passion, and commitment to farming.
Chidoka stated, “Chidinma is a farmer… She made a lasting impression: bold, passionate, and deeply proud of her calling.”
He further highlighted Chidimma’s precision and insight in farming, saying, “She spoke effortlessly about cost per plot, labour rates, farm gate prices, and the hidden opportunities in agro-processing.
She laid out numbers with the clarity of a seasoned analyst.”
Chidoka was particularly impressed by her products, Garri Nteje and Garri Vita, which are already available in stores.
As a result of their interactions, Chidoka decided to invest in Chidimma’s business, citing her drive, ingenuity, and initiative.
He wrote, “I will invest in her. Not because she asked. But because I believe in investing in good people managing decent businesses—never in bad people managing excellent ones.”
Chidoka’s investment aims to build an agricultural ecosystem in Anambra and neighboring states.
He emphasized the importance of supporting “builders, not talkers,” stating, “Chidinma is not chasing human hair wigs or the latest designer bags. She is chasing value—one crop at a time. I will bet on her. And on others like her.”
With this endorsement and pledge of support, Chidoka’s investment is expected to boost Chidimma’s farming endeavours and contribute to the growth of agriculture in the region.
