Foundation Partners Ojukwu Varsity for Interdepartmental Quiz Competition

The Akpoazaa Foundation, in collaboration with the Student Union Government (SUG) of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam Campus, organized an Interdepartmental Quiz Competition on Wednesday of the previous week.
The event was proudly facilitated by the university’s Secretary-General, Comrade Amarachi Okonkwo, in partnership with Dr. Frank Igbojindu, the Chief Executive Officer of the Akpoazaa Foundation.
Hosted by Dr. Igbojindu, who also serves as the Chairman of the Akpoazaa Foundation and CEO of Best Brain Contest, the competition featured 20 contestants representing various departments across the university. Participants showcased their intellectual abilities and academic knowledge in a highly engaging and competitive atmosphere.
At the end of the competition, Emeghebi Christian from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science clinched the first position, followed by Okoli Sochidizumma from the Department of Entrepreneurship in second place, and Obasi Greatness from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in third. The top three contestants received various cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances.
In his remarks, Dr. Frank Igbojindu expressed his appreciation for Comrade Amarachi Okonkwo, applauding her visionary leadership and dedication to student development.
He emphasized the importance of investing in education, describing it as a strategic means of securing long-term prosperity for future generations.
Dr. Igbojindu further reiterated his foundation’s commitment to educational advancement by highlighting a recent initiative, where the best graduating students from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, were awarded ₦500,000 each along with automatic employment opportunities.
According to him, the interdepartmental quiz competition was a resounding success, aimed at fostering healthy academic rivalry and motivating students to strive for excellence in their respective disciplines.
He affirmed that the Akpoazaa Foundation will continue to support programs that empower young people and promote academic brilliance.
