INEC sets up state collation centre, awaits results from results from LGAs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set up its state collation centre for the Anambra State governorship election.

A visit to the INEC headquarters in Awka showed that the collation centre is set up within the premises of the commission.

An INEC officials who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that the commission will start receiving results from local government areas in the state once they are ready.

There are 21 local government areas in Anambra State. Though the state has good network of roads, there also exist some local government areas which are located in hard to reach areas, mostly because they are in riverine areas.

THISDAY will commence announcement of the results once they start coming.
