“Our team has been in continuous communication with TCN, and efforts are ongoing to ensure that supply is restored as soon as possible. We remain committed to delivering improved services to our customers.”
Meanwhile, residents of Awka and surrounding communities have for two days faced dire straits as a result of the unannounced outage.
A good vendor, Mrs Amaka Obi lamented her loss in two days, saying that her profit for months have been wiped out in just two days.
“At a time when I was going to start commending EEDC for constant power, they suddenly disappointed me. I no longer use my generator because of the constant power, so when power failed on Wednesday night, I thought it would be restored soon, but up til this Friday evening, nothing has been done.
“The meat I stored in my refrigerator may soon spoil because of this. I just hope that the power is restored tonight, if not I will be in trouble “
