Chief Primus Odili, Okosisi Aguleri, has applauded the appointment of Prof. Alex Asigbo as the new Director of Business Venture and Consultancy Services at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, describing it as “well-deserved and long overdue.”
In his congratulatory message, Odili commended Prof. Asigbo’s “unmatched dedication, scholarly excellence, and tested leadership,” noting that the university made a prudent choice by placing him in charge of such a strategic unit.
He expressed confidence that the accomplished scholar would bring renewed energy to the university’s business and consultancy portfolio through innovation, strategic partnerships, and sustainable enterprise development.
Odili also urged Prof. Asigbo to approach the role with vision, discipline, and unwavering commitment, stressing that his leadership could elevate UNIZIK’s business initiatives and strengthen its interface with industry stakeholders.
He wished the professor a tenure marked by outstanding achievements, growth, and fulfilment, offering prayers for wisdom and resilience as he takes on the new responsibility.
Our Correspondent gathered that the appointment was made last week by the new Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Stanley Anyaehie, as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the institution.
