News

Sources in Aguata area have revealed to THE RAZOR that there is shock, horror, and absolute mayhem in the primary election  of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the ticket of the party for House of Representatives for Aguata federal constituency.

One of the sources described the primary election as a descended into a theater of violence as some thugs arrived voting centres, flogging voters who were queued up behind of the the aspirants.

The eyewitnesses described it as brazen and barbaric assault on the rule of law, saying the political thugs allegedly loyal to opposition camps launched the coordinated attacks across multiple communities, ruthlessly targeting and flogging supporters of Hon. Afam Ezenwafor, a frontrunner in the race.

“From Umuchu, Achina, Akpo, and Nkpologwu, we have received report that the same thing happened, transforming the communities into zones of terror.

“Thugs armed with heavy canes reportedly stormed the venues, wielding them mercilessly to systematically hunt down, beat, and chase Hon. Ezenwafor’s supporters out of the voting queues, leaving many injured and terrified.

“This shocking display of lawlessness has triggered widespread outrage across Anambra State, raising serious questions about the integrity of the party’s internal democracy,” the source said.

He lamented that as tension reaches a fever pitch, party faithful and democracy advocates in the area are crying out for immediate intervention from security agencies, sending a desperate, echoing plea across the constituency.

“We are not asking for much, we are only saying let democracy reign in APGA today! Say no to political thuggery!”
