The leader and coordinator of Obidient General Worldwide Team, Chief Ikenna Azomchine has disclosed that his group will commence inauguration of support groups in tertiary institutions in Enugu State, to support the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Azomchine, a former ally and supporter of Presidential hopeful, Mr Peter Obi recently made a detour to pitch tent with President Bola Tinubu, citing his achievements as president as his major reason.

While speaking with leaders of student unions from various tertiary institutions in Enugu last weekend, Azomchine reeled out the achievements of the president, saying that he needs to be supported to return in 2027 to complete his reforms.

He said: “We will commence the inauguration of support groups in campuses across Enugu State. We will ensure that the next time the son of the president, Seyi Tinubu is in town, he will personally inaugurate your chapters and we will go to work to mobilize for our president.

“I’m standing here today because after a long time of being frustrated about Obidient Movement and our sensitizations, I took my phone one day and dialed the number of the son of the president. Just one dial and he called back and asked for a meeting.”

Speaking about the works of the president, Azomchine told his supporters that the works of the president are visible today for all to see, with road infrastructure littered everywhere.

He said: “Today, you can drive from Makurdi to Enugu in just three hours on a well paved road. Let’s come to Onitsha, you have seen the road work going on from Enugu to Onitsha. The thickness is something you cannot imagine, and I can tell you that in the next one year, you can club in Enugu and sleep in Onitsha.

“The assurance I’m giving you is that with President Bola Tinubu, in the next three years, all the South East states would be sure that there will be interconnecting rail roads carrying us around the entire zone.

“With people like Soludo in Anambra, Mbah in Enugu, Otti in Abia, Uzodinma in Imo and Nwifuru in Ebonyi all keying into the vision of the president, we will have an entirely different South East zone in the next three years.

“What we only need to do is to hold our different leaders accountable. Like the South East Development Commission, we need to be asking questions to know what they are doing for our people. All of you are students and you are intelligent.

“The money released by the president to our leaders is our money and we can ask what they are doing with them. It is our right. Let us not just sit back and complain, let us be that youth that ask questions. I have lived abroad for 32 years, I have been where things work, so when I see where things are going wrong, I know.”

He assured the students that his group would ensure that President Bola Tinubu is reelected, and will not stop at that, but ensure that Igbo youths get their fair share in employments in key sectors, agencies and parastatals in Nigeria.
