Senator Lilian Uche Ekwunife, the APC senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, has urged the people of Anambra State to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Ekwunife said she and other APC stakeholders in Anambra were committed to securing the re-election of President Tinubu, as well as victory for herself and other candidates of the party in the state.
She spoke at a one-day Anambra Central stakeholders’ meeting with local government and ward officials of the APC from the zone, held at the Senator Uche Ekwunife Event Centre in Awka on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Ekwunife, who is also the South-East Zonal Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for President Tinubu’s re-election, said Anambra was determined to ensure the victory of the APC at all levels in the 2027 elections.
The senator, her campaign supporters and party stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu.
Ekwunife reiterated her commitment to delivering victory for the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
According to her, “My interest, the interest of all APC candidates for the election and the interest of all committed members of our great party is to ensure that President Tinubu wins from top to bottom and bottom to top.
“I will ensure that Anambra leads the country in delivering massive votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“We must not be deceived by the slogan of the state-ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), ‘Progressives are working together in Anambra.’
“We must vote for Tinubu to enable him complete the developmental projects he has started in the South-East.
“We must remain committed and work hard to ensure that our working President wins from top to bottom in Anambra State.
“Anambra must join the ruling team to improve in all sectors of human endeavour. This can only become fruitful when we all sacrifice our political energy.
“As a structural politician, I can tell you that the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi; the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma; the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru; and their Enugu counterpart, Governor Peter Mbah, are really making the APC proud in the South-East.”
Ekwunife also pledged to move Anambra Central Senatorial District to the next level if given the opportunity to return to the Senate in the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, Barrister Ben Nwoye, urged party supporters not to be deceived by APGA’s slogan, “Progressives are working together,” describing it as a “fallacy.”
He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections.
Also speaking, the APC candidate for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, Barrister Kingsley Ezekwelu, commended Ekwunife for organising the meeting and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the APC’s “record-breaking victory” in the presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
He also commended the media for its continued support for the APC-led Federal Government.
At the end of the meeting, the supporters unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Senator Ekwunife.
They also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively for the success of the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
Others present at the event included the APC candidate for Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency, Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba; APC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Barrister Emeka Okafor; and APC South-East Women Leader, Dr Oby Achi.
