~ Soludo, Assembly to be involved

The death of the former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon Afam Obi,has thrown the residents into mourning.
Obi,who will be buried on September 29, served the state as Deputy Speaker between 2007 to 2011, where he represented Ekwusigo constituency.
He died February 25th after a protracted illness at the age of 66.
Before his demise,Obi was seen by his peers, colleagues and associates as a gentleman and a leader of men.
During his time in the corporate world, he served as, Sales Manager of Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company,ANAMCO,Sales Manager, Volkswagen of Nigeria,General Manager, Multichoice,owners of DSTV, General Manager,Noel Ojei group, among others.
Meanwhile, tributes from some of prominent personalities in Anambra state, including the traditional rulers, Prime Ministers and Presidents General of different town Unions have flooded the family.
Anambra state government,led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the state House of Assembly members,led by the Speaker, Hon Somtochukwu Udeze, are supposed to be involved in the arrangements.
But it was gathered Tuesday by The Razor, that both Soludo and the
Speaker have yet to conclude on the scope of government’s involvement in the burial arrangements, seven days to the burial.
