Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, the member representing Anambra East and West federal constituency in the House of Representatives has denied rumours that firearms of several category have been discovered in his house.
The lawmaker Inna video he made said he just returned from Abuja with the APGA candidate, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, and was making the video in his house, showing that he was not arrested as claimed.
He denied the news that guns were found in his house, saying he knew the law and was not licensed to carry guns, and as such will never do so.

Meanwhile, the Zone 13 police command, who were said to have affected the arrest have also described the news as fake and malicious.
The spokesperson of the zone, Princess Nkeiruka Nwode disclosed this in a press statement below…

The attention of Zone 13 Nigeria Police headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra State has been drawn to a misleading report trending on the social media with the above caption allegedly credited to Daily Times Nigeria “that a combined team of police and military yesterday (Sunday) intercepted a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the convoy of the member representing Anambra East and West in the House of representatives,Hon.Chinedu Obidigwe at the outskirt of Nteje in Oyi LGA of Anambra State following a tip off and that a total of 52 Ak-47 rifles, 119 pump actions and thousands of ammunition were recovered from several vehicles in the convoy after which they were brought to zone 13 headquarters Ukpo”.
In view of the foregoing, the Zone 13 headquarters want to State unequivocally that the publication is absolutely false misleading and unfounded. It was a figment of imagination deliberately orchestrated by mischief makers in order to create tension and chaos in the State in order to achieve their selfish interests.
The Zonal Command implores journalists and other well meaning individuals to join fight against crime reporting contents that don’t contrast current State of security in the society as they too should be agent of Law and Order.
Consequently, the Assistant Inspector General of Police; AIG Umar Musa Muri, urges the public to disregard the malicious publication and further assures them that the Zone under his watch will unravel those behind the fake news in order to bring them to justice.
