Air Peace: Fly from Umueri, Anambra to London

By Our Correspondent

In a major boost to air travel connectivity in the Southeast region, Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest carrier, has commenced flight operations from Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State to Gatwick Airport, London.

This new route offers travelers from Anambra and surrounding areas a convenient option to fly to London without having to travel to Lagos or Abuja first.

Although the initial arrangement involves a transfer in Lagos, the launch of this new route is expected to boost economic growth and tourism in the region.

This development is a testament to Air Peace’s commitment to expanding its route network and increasing connectivity for Nigerian travelers.

The airline had earlier made history by launching direct flights from Lagos to Gatwick Airport London on March 31, 2024, becoming the first Nigerian airline to operate the route in seven years.

Since the commencement of the London flight service, Air Peace has received widespread patronage from Nigerians and foreign travelers alike.

The airline’s entry into the route has also led to a significant reduction in ticket prices, making international travel more accessible to Nigerians.

The commencement of flight services from Anambra to London has been hailed as a welcome development in the Southeast and South-south regions.

As Air Peace continues to expand its operations, it is clear that the airline is committed to providing seamless and affordable air travel options to Nigerians and international travelers alike.
