A Political Pressure known as; Save Anambra Group has purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Hon. Edozie Madu to contest for the November 8 Anambra governorship election.
The group called on the politician to contest the Anambra governorship election to salvage the state from misrule.
The group while presenting the forms to Madu at his office in Maitama, Abuja on Monday, expressed strong belief that he has all it takes to tackle the lingering problem of insecurity in Anambra State. 
The group led by former Anambra State Chairman of Independent Democrats, Hon Ikechukwu Okafor, noted that Madu was an APC gubernatorial aspirant during the party primaries in 2021, but said that they are confident that this time, things will be different especially with assurances coming from APC National Chairman Dr Umar Ganduje of a free and fair Primaries.
Hon Ikechukwu Okafor said: “I believe that Edozie Madu is miles ahead of other aspirants to clinch the ticket owing to his credibility as a grassroot politician and strong connections with APC stalwarts at the National Level.”
Responding to their request, Madu recalled an attempt on his life 2 years ago in his home town Owerre-Ezukala, Orumba South local government area of Anambra State by unknown gunmen which led to the killing of a police officer attached to him and burning down of his Village home. 
He noted that his zeal to contest the election was to dislodge criminals from the state and make Anambra safe again. He said he has long accepted the plea to run for Governor.
Hon Edozie Madu is a Long time stalwart of the APC from Owerre-Ezukalla in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
