The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chieftain, Chinedu Obigwe, has launched a scathing attack on Paul Chukwuma, the governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

Obigwe described Chukwuma’s aspiration as a “millennium joke.”

Obigwe’s reaction came on the heels of Chukwuma’s assertion that he is prepared to solve Anambra’s problems if elected.

However, Obigwe maintained that Chukwuma cannot solve any problem for Anambra people, but rather will take them back to the dark eras.

In a statement on Thursday, Obigwe said: “Everything about Paul Chukwuma’s aspiration to govern Anambra State is honestly a joke to me. I see it as an unacceptable insult to the sensibility of Anambra people.”

Obigwe criticized Chukwuma for contesting against the zoning arrangement in the state, which was started by former Governor Peter Obi.

He emphasized that anyone supporting Chukwuma’s aspiration is a “stone-hearted demon.”

According to Obigwe, the zoning arrangement has come to stay in Anambra, and it is a patriotic task for Anambra electorate to defend it.

He warned that anyone working against the entrenchment of zoning in Anambra should be treated as an enemy of the state.

Obigwe advised Chukwuma to learn from Governor Soludo’s patience and wait for the next 13 years to contest for governor when power will return to Anambra North.

He also criticized Chukwuma for hailing from Umueri, a neighboring community to Aguleri, the country home of the immediate former Governor Obiano.

Obigwe commended Governor Soludo for doing marvelously well and delivering dividends of good governance to Anambra people across the 21 local government areas of the state.

He emphasized that Soludo deserves support for a second term in office.

Obigwe described the 2025 governorship election as a battle between Anambra electorate and politicians with dead conscience.

He advised Chukwuma to stop insulting Anambra people and acknowledge Governor Soludo’s good governance, supporting his re-election bid instead.
