Anambra @ 34: Speaker Udeze Hails Founding Fathers, Commends Governor Soludo, 8th Assembly on Development Strides

As Anambra State marks the 34th anniversary of its creation, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers — both living and departed — for their vision and sacrifices that gave birth to the state in 1991.

In a goodwill message to the government and people of Anambra, Speaker Udeze also lauded successive administrations for their contributions to the growth of the state.

He, however, described the present administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as “outstanding,” citing the governor’s “unprecedented achievements across all sectors” within just three years in office.

According to the Speaker, Anambra now ranks among the leading states in Nigeria, particularly in economic and industrial transformation.

He listed massive road projects, improved healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, job creation, strengthened security architecture, free education, agricultural revolution, and environmental regeneration as key gains of the Soludo administration.

He further commended Governor Soludo for embarking on the construction of a world-class Government House and Lodge — the first of its kind since the state’s creation — describing it as befitting of a “Grade A state like Anambra.”

Udeze also highlighted the strong partnership between the executive and the 8th House of Assembly under his leadership, noting that the legislature has continued to pass laws and motions that support the governor’s development agenda and enhance the well-being of citizens.

The Speaker urged captains of industry and other affluent citizens of the state to key into Soludo’s “Think Home” philosophy by investing in Anambra’s industrial sector and supporting the state’s security architecture.

He equally called on Ndi Anambra to continue to pray for peace and development while rallying support for the governor ahead of the November 8 governorship election.
