Anambra APC politicizing insecurity for cheap gains, says APGA Chieftain

By Our correspondent

Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors’ Forum, has lambasted the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State for politicizing insecurity.

In a statement issued on Friday, Obigwe described the APC’s tactics as “outdated” and “dead on arrival,” emphasizing that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made significant strides in securing the state.

The All Progressives Congress in Anambra had at a press conference on Thursday flayed Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for his failure to address the insecurity situation in the state.

The Director General of Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign, Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ibezi, said his principal, Sir Chukwuma, had put together a formula to rescue the people of the state from the dire security situation as part of Sir Chukwuma’s campaign mantra of HIS (Human capital development, Infrastructural development and Security).

Reacting to the development, Obigwe said, “Governor Soludo has done marvelously well in Anambra’s security sector,” adding, “The APC’s criticism of the governor’s security efforts is, in fact, an indictment of their own party-led federal security operatives, including the police, DSS, army, and civil defense.”

Obigwe also dismissed claims that the APC is being accused of sponsoring insecurity in the state, attributing the allegations to “guilty conscience.”

He further criticized Paul Chukwuma, the APC governorship candidate, saying his ambition is a “millennium joke.”

Obigwe cited Anambra’s zoning arrangement, which would favour the central region, and Governor Soludo’s popularity.

“Anambra is not a banana republic,” Obigwe stated. “The people will not take Paul Chukwuma’s governorship ambition seriously.”

Obigwe also rejected claims that the Anambra signage agency pulled down billboards mounted for President Bola Tinubu by Paul Chukwuma on Governor Soludo’s instruction, labeling it a “childish lie.”

He expressed confidence in Governor Soludo’s re-election, citing his achievements and the people’s support for consolidating the zoning arrangement.
