Chief Chinedu Obigwe of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has condemned Monday’s sit-at-home bloodletting in Anambra State, blaming disgruntled and evil-minded opposition elements.

Obigwe offered condolences to the victims’ families, praying for peaceful repose and fortitude.

He emphasized that sponsored bloodletting won’t aid the opposition’s 2025 power quest.

Obigwe said an activist friend of his suspected sabotage, citing attackers’ unchecked strikes on Ukpo and Abatete vigilantes and Nkwelle junction fuel tanker burning.

“This echoes 2020-2021’s politically motivated bloodletting during the governorship election,” Obigwe said.

He alleged the opposition seeks to instill fear, create voter apathy, and pave the way for militarization and election rigging.

However, he’s confident Anambra’s electorate will overcome the opposition’s plans, ensuring Governor Soludo completes his mission.

As the November 8th, 2025 governorship election approaches, Obigwe’s statement warns those disrupting the democratic process.

Anambra previously witnessed similar attacks between 2020 and 2021, but the people prevailed.

Obigwe believes history will repeat itself in 2025.
