The Labour Party (LP), Anambra State Chapter, has called on Nigerians to use the 65th Independence Anniversary of the nation as a time for sober reflection and renewed commitment to the ideals of unity, justice, and people-centered governance.
In a goodwill message signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Peter Okoye, the party felicitated with Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, describing the milestone as historic and symbolic.
According to the statement, despite the country’s numerous challenges, the resilience and unity of its people remain the driving force keeping hope alive for a greater Nigeria.
“The Labour Party stands firm in its mission to promote equity, justice, and people-centered governance. We believe Nigeria has the potential to rise above her trials and fulfill her destiny as the pride of Africa—through visionary leadership and collective effort,” the party stated.
Okoye urged Ndi Anambra and Nigerians generally not to lose faith in the country, but to remain steadfast and hopeful, stressing that collective determination was key to rebuilding the nation.
“As we mark this anniversary, let us strengthen the bond that unites us, commit ourselves to nation-building, and work together for a prosperous Nigeria,” the LP chairman added.
