Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State has taken a bold step to curb the activities of native doctors, serving them quit notices and banning evil rituals and occultic practices in the area.
According to a public notice issued by the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Shedrack Azubuike, the decision is sequel to the establishment of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law passed by the State Government.
The notice stipulates that all native doctors and Eze Nwanys who are not indigenes of Orumba South must vacate the Local Government area within seven days or desist from practicing in Orumba South.
Indigenous native doctors are strictly advised to present themselves for profiling and documentation at the Local Government Secretariat starting from February 19, 2025.
The notice also completely prohibits and bans evil rituals and occultic practices, as well as native doctors practicing charms for quick wealth, from the local government territory.
Those engaging in fortifications and charms for evil protections are also advised to leave the area immediately.
The Chairman has declared war on these evil activities, and anyone found after the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum will face the full wrath of the law.
The public is empowered to provide useful information concerning the hideouts of these native doctors.
This move is aimed at maintaining peace and security in Orumba South and ensuring that the area is free from evil activities.
