Anambra LP Chairman, Peter Okoye, Felicitates Muslims on Eid-El Maulud, Salutes Nenadi Usman, Obi, Otti, Others

As Muslims around the world, including Nigeria, celebrate Eid-el Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the Labour Party in Anambra State extends a message of goodwill and felicitations to the faithful.

The State Chairman of the Labour Party, Comrade Peter Okoye, in a statement released to commemorate this significant occasion, expressed heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims in Anambra State and beyond.

Comrade Okoye emphasized the importance of Eid-el Maulud, noting it provides a unique opportunity for reflection and spiritual rejuvenation.

According to him, the occasion serves as a reminder of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, which emphasize compassion, peace, and brotherhood.

He urged Muslims to use this period to reflect on the nation’s challenges and seek divine intervention for peace and stability.

The Labour Party Chairman highlighted the need for Anambra State, often referred to as the “Light of the Nation,” to set an example by ensuring justice and fairness for all citizens.

“Anambra State as the light of the nation must get things right where no person is oppressed,” he stated.

Okoye prayed for lasting peace in Nigeria, calling on Muslims to extend brotherly love to their neighbours, especially the poor and vulnerable, regardless of tribe or religious beliefs.

He emphasized that the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad promote peace, love, and understanding among people of diverse backgrounds.

The Labour Party leader wished all Muslims in Anambra State and across the country a Happy Eid-el Maulud celebration, expressing hope that it would bring people together in peace and unity.

“I heartily felicitate all the Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-El Maulud, honuoring the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad,” he said.

Okoye seized the opportunity to pray for the National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Senator Nenadi Usman, and other party leaders, including former LP presidential candidate Peter Obi and Abia State Governor Alex Otti
