A chilling incident has unfolded in Anambra State, as a 36-year-old man, Ejekwu Joseph Odira, alias “World Best”, has gone missing after receiving a phone call.
The father of five was last seen on Tuesday, July 9, in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area.
According to his elder brother, Chijioke Ejekwu, Joseph received a call around 1 pm and informed his family he was heading to Nnewi but never returned.
Witnesses confirmed seeing him in Nnewi shortly after he left home, but he seemingly vanished into thin air.
The family’s distress deepened when Joseph’s two phone numbers (08161131513 and 07066799871) became unreachable, sparking a frantic search.
Despite visiting various police stations in Nnewi North and its environs, there has been no trace of him.
Chijioke Ejekwu expressed concern over his brother’s disappearance, stating, “We are worried sick. Joseph is a loving father and husband, and his disappearance has left us devastated.
“We urge anyone with information to come forward and help us locate him.”
Joseph’s wife and children are said to be distraught, and the community is in shock over the incident.
The family has appealed for information and urged anyone with knowledge of Joseph’s whereabouts to come forward.
The police are yet to comment on the case, but the family has been assured that an investigation will be launched once a formal report is filed.
As the search for Joseph continues, his family and friends are holding on to hope that he will be found safe and sound.
